Wrin Sivinxi is an astrologer, occultist, and psychic who runs Rin's Wonders, an outdoor shop in Otari open around the clock [S11]. She was the party's original quest-giver, the first to notice the Gauntlight lighthouse reactivating through her star-reading practice before anyone else could perceive it [S1]. Early on she was dismissed by townsfolk as a 'cuckoo lady,' a reputation the undead surge vindicated [S5]. Claustrophobic and anxious about the vault itself, she nonetheless serves as the party's primary Otari-side occult consultant throughout the campaign — identifying dangerous items, reading omens, and providing lore [S8]. She purchases cursed artifacts the party brings up from the vaults (such as the lantern of empty light) and flat-out refuses others, recoiling at the Whispering Reeds and calling for them to be burned [S24]. By the mid-campaign she hosts parties at her shop and allows the reading of the Whispering Reeds on her premises, only to be caught in the resulting rot-emanation herself [S50]. She continues serving as a trusted lore authority into the later sessions: she identifies the Leng ruby as a Denizen of Leng conduit and warns against giving it to the child [S49]; she surgically extracts and analyzes a cursed ruby, guiding an overnight attunement [S54]; and she attends the Menhem manor to assess Doriana, identifying her as a powerful psychic and issuing an urgent warning against ever engaging the grave knight [S56]. As of [S58], the party considers her the one person most likely to explain the mystery of the bound Rose Guard souls.

Wrin Sivinxi enters the story as an outsider who has been in Otari only a short time [S19], scraping together income while pursuing her real work: reading the stars. That work pays off immediately. Her divination lets her perceive the Gauntlight lighthouse reactivating before any other resident notices, and she wastes no time pulling together a group of adventurers — including Venris and Cid, whom she already knows — to investigate and report back [S1]. Her urgency is grounded: she had earlier predicted a demon attack on her own home and takes omens seriously.
In the early sessions she occupies the role of a slightly eccentric local seer that most of Otari tolerates without fully believing. The undead surge that follows the party's first descent changes that calculus; afterward even skeptics concede she had been right [S5]. She remains above ground throughout — her claustrophobia is genuine and never really softens — but her shop, Rin's Wonders, becomes a staging point between dungeon runs: a place to rest, offload strange items, and ask questions the party cannot answer themselves [S11].
Her omen-reading work deepens in danger as the campaign does. A critical star-reading pushes her into a near-possessed trance and delivers the party a prophecy about the Gauntlight being a door and a monster's return [S9]. She also takes on the mundane but vital work of item identification and occult commerce — purchasing the lantern of empty light for 240 gp with a promise to find it a safe buyer, selling a ghost touch rune, and dressing down the party for carelessly flashing cursed light at her face [S24]. The Whispering Reeds she refuses outright, recoiling and insisting they should be burned [S24], yet by S27 she blesses Abus before he risks reading them and takes visible relief watching him survive [S27].
A significant shift comes around S39, when Venris spends the night at her place after a long run. She has broad knowledge of the Belcorra fight and the Vol/Acephonus aftermath, knows the Thresholds of Truth by reputation, but cannot identify Venris's specific affliction — a sign that her lore, though wide, has real limits [S39].
From S49 onward she becomes the party's most reliable Otari-side expert on the stranger horrors the lower vaults are producing. She identifies the Leng ruby as a focus that Denizens of Leng use to extend their magics into the physical world, explicitly warns against letting it near the child [S49], and explains the contract devil Urvane as a Fistophilus still oddly bound after Belcorra's death. In S50 the party reads the Whispering Reeds at Rin's Wonders with Wrin standing guard over Abbas — an act she clearly finds deeply uncomfortable — and when the rot-emanation hits she is caught in it and needs calming before the session can move on [S50].
Her opinions carry moral weight by this point. In S51 she expresses real dread about the captive Sagathi being released into the world and makes a case for stopping it, then accepts with visible defeat that she cannot sway the party [S51]. In S52 she is described as one of the good ones the party can trust, a close friend in Venris's backstory [S52]. The scientific faction in town — the Menhems — dismisses her as 'the crazy lady,' but their own crisis ultimately forces them to tolerate her presence. Called to the Menhem manor, she extracts and analyzes the cursed Ruby surgically, identifies it as a Denizen-of-Leng conduit built on a variation of the locate spell, and guides the party through a night-long attunement, deferring to Veve as the superior caster [S54]. At the same manor, later, she identifies Doriana Menhem as a powerful latent psychic and, upon hearing about the grave knight, freezes and delivers one of her most urgent warnings of the entire campaign: never engage it, or die a horrible agonizing death [S56].
As of [S58], the party names Wrin Sivinxi as possibly the single person best placed to explain what is happening with the bound Rose Guard souls — a recognition of how far her standing has traveled from the dismissed stargazer of the opening sessions to the campaign's most trusted occult authority.
