Skeletal Giant's Half-Plate and Glaive is a pair of items recovered from a skeletal giant encountered early in the campaign. In [S6 02:42:53], the party looted the giant's body, finding a heavy glaive — noted as too bulky to use as a thrown or telekinetic projectile — and a suit of half-plate armor in good, slightly dented condition. Venris stowed the half-plate at that time, and the glaive was also recovered after the fight. The glaive resurfaced with greater significance much later in the campaign. By [S61 03:03:26], it was identified as the forge-master's unique weapon: a +1 flaming striking glaive forged from a unique 'Hellforge' material, tagged as evil, fire, and forceful. The party craft-identified it and noted a placeholder since it did not appear in the Foundry system. Because the weapon carries an evil alignment, the party chose to store it unused rather than wield it. As of [S62 03:32:54], the glaive — described as "the black one from D1" with a fire tag — was still being carried in Venris's bag. During the hydra encounter, the weapon was pulled out mid-fight (earning a hero point), with its stats recorded as 2d8, +1 striking, reach, deadly d8, forceful, plus approximately 1d6 fire damage. It was passed among party members specifically to sever and cauterize hydra heads, serving as the critical tool for halting the creature's regeneration.
