The Cloak of the Huntress is a relic of the Rose Guard, the ancient fellowship that sealed the barrier beneath Otari. It is associated with Asefna, called "the Huntress," and was identified early in the campaign as one of four Rose Guard icons the party must recover to break that barrier [S28]. The party learned the cloak was buried with Asefna in a sealed tomb beneath Otari; the tomb required the mayor's holy symbol to open [S29]. They retrieved it in S32, finding a folded cloak on a pedestal behind a relic-locked door flanked by two statues. Venris claimed and donned it on the spot despite a GM hint it might suit someone else better [S32]. The GM withheld the cloak's mechanics in the immediate follow-up session, wanting to review its powers before formally granting them [S33], and it remained unidentified while Venris wore it and showed it off to Morhand as proof of the party's progress [S34]. By S35 it was being worn by Veve (BB) [S35]. As of S58, the cloak is listed among the Rose Guard artifacts carried by the party — referred to simply as "a cloak" worn by Veve — alongside Otari's key (held by Venris) and a sword or club. Otari's ghost, encountering the group, senses his dead comrades within the relics and believes each one houses a fragment or memory of a Rose Guard soul. A secret check at the same scene, however, reveals the souls are NOT actually inside the relics, leaving the true nature of the binding unexplained. The relics were used to pass a warded threshold [S58].
