Frozen-monster pillars

hazard active

Current state

A 30-ft prison chamber filled with roughly fifteen clear/transparent pillars, each suspending a creature frozen in time (a drider, a gibbering mouther, gugs, a gogiteth, gippits, a dryad, and others), lit from above and ringed by a catwalk [S56 01:11:20][S54 (prison vault)]. The pillars break like glass, and destroying one appears to be the only way to free its occupant [S56 01:40:38]. Venris received a psychic flash of Belcorra burning a hag alive in green flame in the now-broken empty pillar — that hag became the witchfire the party fought [S56]. One pillar wall doubles as a one-way observation window into the hidden back rooms. The party first sneaked past this vault (and its patrolling witchfire) in S33.
