Flesh-warping is the signature magical-physical practice of the Sagathi and related Darklands forces, by which living beings — humans, dwarves, elves, Morlocks — are surgically and magically twisted into hulking, monstrous abominations [S47]. The process retains the victim's basic humanoid frame but dramatically enlarges and distorts it; flesh-warped creatures encountered by the party notably explode in "cancer blood" on death [S48]. The Sagathi are not assumed to seek consent from their subjects, yet Morlocks in the vaults actively idolize the transformation and many seek it willingly, viewing it as an aspiration rather than a punishment [S47, S48]. The practice encompasses a range of outcomes. Captives can be warped into specific weapon-types — for example, Morlocks surgically altered into electrified Dreshkins — and then staged in gladiatorial battles inside a transparent-walled arena. A party member named Noth is among those documented as having been subjected to this process. Research notes recovered from the Sagathi laboratory (document F20) detail these experiments in clinical terms [S52]. At its most extreme, Flesh-warping extends into necrotic golem-craft: Jafakai's research discipline involved using necromantic energies to slowly draw flesh over long periods, assembling a Morlock piece by piece into a "perfect specimen" flesh golem. The party — Abbas in particular, drawing on his existing Flesh Warp lore — judged this knowledge too dangerous to preserve given its entanglement with souls and bodies, and destroyed both the machine and Jafakai's notes [S53]. As of S53, the immediate Sagathi laboratory infrastructure has been dismantled by the party, but Flesh-warping as a broader Darklands practice remains a documented horror of the deeper vaults.
