Doriana is the young daughter (~12 years old) of Manhem (also referred to as the mayor or Vangerdale), a sheltered, soft-spoken child who carries a favored doll. She first appeared in [S24 04:42:25] exhibiting vivid, pleasant dreams of unicorns and fairies that disturbed her sleep — a detail the party noted but did not yet pursue. By [S39 01:17:23] her condition had sharply deteriorated: gaunt and dark-eyed, waking with nightmares rather than pleasant visions, she had begun drawing a figure she called the 'Motley' or 'Mummy Man' as an imaginary friend — an image the party recognized as Yazongleer, the Denizen of Leng. Abbas's Heal spell could not restore her; her maximum HP appeared mysteriously drained. In [S49 05:14:48] the curse had advanced further: she was feverish, regressing to childish behavior, and scratching the word LENG into her wrist. Veve dispelled the curse and stabilized her, and the party discovered a hidden Leng ruby inside her griffin plushie. The ruby proved persistent. Through [S50], [S51], and [S52] it kept reappearing in whichever stuffed toy she held, approximately hourly through the night. Doriana grew close to Veve during this period, cooperating willingly and looking forward to their shared nights. In [S54] the party confirmed that her mind was deeply linked to the dimension of dreams, and that she would be lost to it entirely unless Yazongleer was destroyed. After the party killed Yazongleer in S55, [S56 03:44:14] shows Doriana fully healed — her hand restored — and rushing to embrace Veve. Wrin Sivinxi revealed her to be a powerful psychic whose abilities had been suppressed and exploited by the Denizen of Leng, and predicted a bright future for her now that she is free. As of [S56], Doriana is recovered and her latent psychic gifts are recognized. S64 confirms the recovery is stable: Doriana's hand is healed, the gem is gone, and she sleeps normally. She also secretly levitates a plushie for Veve, with the GM framing the power as something she had already been developing and likely why she was targeted.
