Sinemi first identified the area as the likely site of a Hellfire Forge tied to the devil's operation, flagging it as a probable target as the party prepared to approach the sigil door [S60 03:43:20].
On closer investigation, the room revealed itself as a charred-black chamber: chains hang from a 20-foot ceiling, suspending shelves loaded with tools and metal ingots; a beast-mouthed forge dominates the space, a smoke vent positioned between its horns; an anvil, a trough of sooty water, and weapon racks complete the workspace [S61 03:01:54]. The forge-master — a devil — uses the facility to mass-produce mundane iron weapons. Both the hellforge anvil and the forge itself radiate dark demonic energy, marking the location as more than an ordinary smithy.
As of S61, the Hellfire Forge stands as an active infernal production site within the dungeon, its purpose squarely in service of the devil's armament goals.
