The Telekinetic / mechanical hand is a compound item-concept covering two related but distinct uses of telekinetic reach observed across the campaign. The first is Veve's telekinetic-hand cantrip or ability, used at range — most notably to grab collector coins without physical contact [S37 01:15:09]. The second, and ultimately more significant, is Venris's prosthetic mechanical arm, which replaced the hand he lost to the rot [S37 01:15:09]. By S42, Venris's prosthetic had been upgraded or attuned with a ghost-touch rune, allowing it to transform into a blade capable of striking incorporeal undead and landing precision and sneak damage on them [S42 01:00:33]. This made the mechanical arm central to defeating both the specter and the chain spirit encountered by the party [S42 01:00:33]. As of [S42], the mechanical arm functions as Venris's primary tool for engaging incorporeal threats, bridging his physical loss into a combat advantage against undead that normal weapons cannot reach. Note: ASR transcription artifacts occasionally render the item as "telekinetic cat" or "cat trap"; these are mis-transcriptions of the same ability.
