Venris's silver ghost-touch striking blade is a specialized melee weapon built into — or transforming from — Venris's prosthetic clockwork arm, activated through a "hunter's brooch" mechanism. The ghost-touch property is its defining trait: it allows the blade to affect incorporeal or ghostly creatures that would otherwise resist physical strikes. The blade's first documented use in recorded sessions comes during a deep-dungeon encounter [S56 00:16:41], where Venris deployed it for sneak and precision attacks against two resistant targets — a witchfire and a grave knight. The ghost-touch property proved directly decisive against the witchfire, whose incorporeal nature would otherwise have blunted conventional physical damage. By [S61 02:01:35], the weapon's nature had been elaborated further: it is a transformation of the clockwork prosthetic arm itself, triggered by the hunter's brooch, and at some point a Rastal plea granted it a deadly d12 trait. After combat in that session, Venris flagged the blade as "not working well," then transformed the arm back to its hand form and flexed the fingers — a detail the table noted as a potential hook for repair or crafting work. As of S61, the blade remains in service but in uncertain mechanical condition.
